Secretariat of the SC for UNESCO

The Secretariat is the Commission’s executive body. It falls under the Department for UN and international organizations of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic. It prepares materials concerning UNESCO issues for the sessions of the Slovak Government. It coordinates cooperation throughout the whole country. It facilitates the transfer of information between the UNESCO Secretariat in Paris and the organizations and institutions in the Slovak Republic. It covers all the activities of the SC UNESCO administratively and organizationally (e.g. plenary sessions, meetings of the Bureau and of the individual Committees). It also coordinates the activities of SC UNESCO in relation to other National Commissions.
